Two extraordinary vacation hotels have been created in the area:
Both hotels were originally farms and combine a high level of comfort with an emphasis on sustainability. The two family-run "nature-hotels" are decorated in typical regional style making extensive use of wood and incorporating innumerable charming details. Nestling in their splendid natural surroundings, the hotels offer all the latest conveniences. Pielachtal plans to enhance its competence in the fields of sustainability and wholesome enjoyment. A range of projects that will concentrate on the health aspect is already in planning. In addition to healthful nutrition, healthy exercise will also be promoted.
The country hotel Steinschalerhof is a 200 year old traditional-style house which has been lovingly converted to a romantic holiday residence. Each room is individually decorated with traditional wooden furniture and is equipped with an Internet connection and satellite TV. The resort also hosts eight fully equipped holiday bungalows, for those who prefer a attractive alternative. Our indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, natural pools, ponds for boating and fishing, bike hire, playground and hotel gardens are oases for recreation and relaxation.
Get ready to be spoilt in our in-house restaurant (awarded for its wholesome cuisine) which offers a variety of traditional and local culinary delicacies, international and vegetarian dishes. (eg. Wild herb dishes with fresh herbs from our own gardens). You can also try one of our many refreshing local drinks, for example our wild cherry juice or our great-tasting regional pear juice, as well as numerous wines from renowned Austrian winegrowers.
Particularly noteworthy is Steinschaler Dörfl, a neighbouring hotel village in Frankenfels, affiliated with the Steinschalerhof.
